[International Communication]Deepening Cooperation Between Wuhan University of Technology and Rennes School of Business

Recently, following initial communications on international cooperation between Wuhan University of Technology and Rennes School of Business in France, our school was visited by a delegation from Rennes School of Business, including its Chinese representative, Yang Pei, for in-depth exchanges. The aim was to further strengthen international cooperation in cultivating of Anglo-French bilingual talent and to explore more approaches for joint training programs. Participants in the meeting included Li Hui, Deputy Dean, Liu Si, Director of Foreign Language School, and Fan Jing, Director of French Department.

At the beginning of the meeting, Deputy Dean Li Hui extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Rennes School of Business and briefly introduced the history of the School of Foreign Languages and its achievements in talent cultivation in the Anglo-French bilingual experiment class. She emphasized that the School of Foreign Languages had always focused on nurturing interdisciplinary talents with international perspectives and cross-cultural communication skills. She also noted that this communication with Rennes School of Business would add new energy into our efforts of talent cultivation.

During the meeting, both parties engaged in an in-depth discussion on three different cultivation models:“2+2,”“3+1.5,”and“3+2”for students majoring in English and French. The representative from Rennes School of Business particularly highlighted their“2+2” overseas study program in SKEMA Business School, which aims to cultivate decision-makers and global talents who will adapt to the diversified development trends in knowledge and economy and the sustainable development of the 21st century.

This exchange has further strengthened the ties between our school and French universities, laying a solid foundation for the cultivation of interdisciplinary multilingual talents. The School of Foreign Languages will continue to focus on guiding students to broaden their international horizons and enhance their overall qualities, providing more possibilities for their future career development. In the meantime, this collaboration will also facilitate the construction of overseas educational platforms and the integration of educational resources, promoting the continuous improvement of our school’s capabilities in international talent cultivation.
